In Ellie’s words:
. As the first crochet project that I actually fully completed, I’m pretty pleased with it. Having worked on granny squares exclusively before, this required following instructions and counting. That and trying to guess the size of grandma’s teapot from 7000 miles away. As luck would have it, grandma has about as many teapots as I have half finished craft projects, so all was well. Instead of fitting the cosy to the pot, she fitted the pot to the cosy. Apparently the elephant teapot fits perfectly. (photos hopefully to come another time). All in all this cosy was good fun and a successful present. Maybe I’ll make one in a less retro hue for myself.
